Maintenance Technician
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
About the Role:
We’re looking for a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our property management team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining the physical integrity of our multi-family complexes, ensuring resident satisfaction through timely and professional service. From routine repairs to emergency maintenance, your work will help keep our communities safe, functional, and comfortable.
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform routine inspections, repairs and preventative maintenance on plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems, fire safety systems, appliances, and more.
· Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues in apartments and common areas.
· Maintain shared spaces such as lobbies, fitness centers, laundry rooms, and parking areas.
· Emergency Maintenance & On-Call
· Respond to after-hours maintenance emergencies as needed.
· Quickly address urgent issues like leaks, power outages, and appliance breakdowns.
· Conduct regular inspections of apartments, common areas, and exteriors.
· Report safety hazards or code violations.
· Assist with move-out inspections and unit turnovers.
· Install new and repair or replace major household appliances in units.
· Replace air filters, clean units, and check equipment performance regularly.
· Interact courteously and professionally with residents regarding service requests.
· Ensure timely communication and follow-up on work orders.
· Manage stock of tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies.
· Report equipment issues and ensure all tools are in working order.
· Follow all safety procedures and regulations.
What We’re Looking For:
Required:
· High school diploma or GED.
· 2–3 years of experience in residential maintenance or a related trade.
· Solid knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repair work.
· Proficiency with hand and power tools.
· Excellent troubleshooting, time management, and customer service skills.
· Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
· Willingness to be on-call for emergency maintenance.
Preferred:
Certifications in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical.
